Artwork

An artwork in Amsterdam with no name but popularly called the "Monkey table" made in 2005 by artist "Merijn Bolink" . A table where three mythical figures are pulled up.

The use of animals in visual art is an old fact. Usually they have a symbolic meaning.

For example a monkey symbolizes foolishness and vanity.

Acording to the artist these monkeys are an Estruscan spider monkey, an Amsterdam School macaque and a science fiction style gorilla.
